FAQs About the Inn

Yes. We greet all guests in person, so communication is important. If you know ahead of time that you need to arrive after 6pm, please indicate the time on your reservation. If on your arrival day you are running late or your plans have changed, you can update your ETA using the contact number from the check-in instruction text/phone call.
The morning of your arrival, you will receive a text message/phone call with parking instructions. Occasionally when there is a high number of vehicles, we will instruct you to park in the grassy barnyard
Insurance regulations and food safety protocols prohibit guest use of the kitchen.
No, we do not provide in-room refrigerators. However, we have an extra refrigerator to store your goodies until you leave. Just remember to remind us. And we can refreeze your freezer packs, too.
Due to the “Historic” designation and insurance regulations, guests cannot smoke anywhere on the property. That also includes vaping and candles. Penalties apply if guests smoke in the house and/or on the property.

If you enjoy watching TV, the Bear Suite offers an in-suite living room and TV. All other rooms have access to the TV in the common room on the first floor. We have most Comcast cable channels.
Out of respect and safety for the other guests, only registered guests are permitted in their rooms. We do not offer public tours.
At check-in, we review all dietary issues and can easily accommodate most circumstances. If you are concerned about a food allergy, please call 717-661-3191 before you make your reservation.
With no dining tables in the guest rooms, meal eating is discouraged. . However, guests can eat outside in the various sitting areas(weather permitting) or guests can enjoy their food in the dining room. Please let the innkeeper know. The Balcony Suite has a bistro set outside on the balcony for use in seasonal weather.
Yes, each room has its own adjustable window A/C unit.

No, we do not allow pets to stay at the inn. See our policies page. However there are a couple of good local pet boarding facilities nearby including VCA Smoketown Animal HospitalNeffsville Veterinary Clinic and Oscar’s Pet Resort.
