Take a step back in time and enjoy the authentic experience of lodging in a nineteenth century historic Lancaster County farmhouse. Built in the 1860’s, much of the original architecture remains, including beautiful heartwood pine floors throughout, in this 3 story solid brick Victorian Italianate farmhouse. Each of the 4 guest rooms offers a queen bed, private bath and simple furnishings. Guests will be served a home-made breakfast in the grand dining room decorated with period antiques and vintage findings. Located in the heart of “Amish Country”, the Olde Oregon Farmhouse has convenient access to routes 222 and 30 and is just minutes away from historic downtown Lancaster City and Lititz, America’s coolest small town.
Located on the second floor, the Anna room is named in honor of Anna Bear, Grabill’s wife. This room has a queen bed and separate private tiled bath and a standard bathtub/shower.
Located on the second floor of the late 1800's addition to the farmhouse, the Balcony suite offers multiple rooms and has access to a private balcony.
The third floor Bear suite has a uniquely different feeling with the architectural structure of the roof, exposed brick, beautiful leaded glass windows and original wood floors.
Located on the second floor, the Grabill Room is named in honor of the original builder, Grabill Bear. This room is decorated with burgundy wallpaper and vintage artwork.
Innkeeper, Mary Bolinger, and her husband, Todd, purchased this beautiful farmhouse in 2015. Although in the process of restoration by the previous owners, it still needed and will continue to need a lot of TLC. With the goal of keeping the farmhouse as original as possible, no renovations are planned, nor have any major renovations occurred during its existence. The thoughtful, deliberate process of repairing, painting and cleaning up the property is slowly transforming this once neglected part of local history into a stately presence at the center of the Village of Oregon in Lancaster County. So much progress has been made with all of the design work and most of the handiwork completed personally by Mary and Todd. Guests will have the opportunity to appreciate the originality of this charming farmhouse and traditional bed and breakfast, and to follow the continued progress.
